"...your kidding...", was all Tharja said to no one in particular as she started to sink into the floor. But she knew better...there was a powerful illusion spell in here that made the floor look like any ordinary floor when in fact, held a trap spell of sorts. Or perhaps this really was quicksand. From her other trips to these realms with the Sheperds, sometimes nothing made sense around here. She had a feeling this room had some purpose. The surrounding lit torches and what looked liked an old wooden desk lined with tomes near it suggested something more...sinister.
Though she didn't panic. It was simple enough trap. The first thing was the hex that was placed on it. Once she broke it, casting anything else would be simple. Opening her tome, she began looking through some spells. During her search, something weird happened...while she was holding her tome one one hand reading it, her other was reaching down to her thigh and trying to pull her leg out of the quicksand trap.
Tharja stopped reading then looked down.
...wait...why am I doing something as stupid as struggling like this?...oh hell... , she suddenly thought, realizing there was more to this trap then she thought.

Fascinating, and creative! There’s an additional layer of magic over the mind in this trap. Quicksand on it’s own has a tendency to make the victim struggle against it. Now even the wisest of adventurers and experienced travelers have no choice. Their better judgment is useless, their self restraint now worthless. She will fight it, and in doing so hasten her demise...😈
